Andrew Kaye is Principal and Chief Executive of Fareham College. Andrew joined Fareham College in 2015 as Deputy Principal, where he oversaw rapid and substantial improvement in the college’s curriculum, quality and business development. In that period the college received many prestigious accolades, including being judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in 2017, awarded TES College of the Year in 2018 and recognised by FE Week and AELP ACC as the Construction Apprenticeship Provider of the Year Award 2019 for its unique and innovative Civil Engineering and Groundworks Apprenticeship programme.
Andrew was appointed Principal and Chief Executive earlier this year. Under Andrew’s leadership, Fareham College has opened a brand new state-of-the-art Civil Engineering Training Centre based in Lee-on-the-Solent and will oversee the college introducing T Levels in 2020. Andrew’s success and experience has led him to be the go-to voice for national and regional media regarding the key issues faced by FE colleges today. He is passionate about giving every student the opportunity to succeed in their chosen career and believes the college partnering with Venturefest South will help open doors and give confidence and inspiration to its students.
Andrew said ahead of Venturefest 2020: “I’m delighted that Fareham College will be the first FE college to be a partner of Venturefest and I’m looking forward to us playing a part in such a landmark event to celebrate and progress the south’s innovation ecosystem.”
