Paul is a disruptive thinker, aviation professional, CEO and Co-Founder of Consortiq who are helping organisations scale up the implementation of autonomous technologies by modeling and mitigating risk led by their market defining concept AssureTech. Consortiq was recently voted the #1 training provider for aerial robotics by AUVSI; the world’s largest cross-domain unmanned vehicles industry association.
Paul was formerly part of the UK Government Department for Transport sUAS Strategy working group advising on the formative process behind the UK Public Consultation. Also advising the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Drone Industry Action Group (DIAG) and the UK Civil Aviation Authority Regulation Action Group.
He advised the government on the formative process behind the public consultation and how to exploit the sUAS for benefits of UK PLC. He was the Legislation Officer for 3 terms for the trade body ARPAS-UK and leads Consortiq, a company with offices in Annapolis, Maryland and Southampton, UK who are majority owned, after a $5 investment, by Diplomat Freight Solutions; a US-based Global logistics company. Consortiq make it easy for organisations to put drones in the sky through their training programme and risk management software and have trained over 1000 drone pilots in the UK and USA counting the FBI, BBC and NOAA amongst their clients.
Paul was formerly an Air Traffic Control professional for 10 years working in both operations and critical infrastructure at London Control for the air navigation service provider NATS.
He has previously spoken all around the world on topics revolving around regulatory integration at events such as AUVSI Xponential, The Future of Transportation World Conference, Eurosatory, Royal Aeronautical Society President's Conference, RAeS Crime and Privacy Panel, UK Drone Show, Commercial UAV show, moderated panels at Skytech conference and more recently been on BBC News and BBC Radio 4 as an expert sUAS commentator.
