Southpoint Films is a corporate video production company based in Southampton, creating everything from promotional videos, training films and coverage of events (such as Venturefest South.)

By utilising techniques such as animation, live streaming, aerial videography and 360° video, we help businesses of all sizes, including start ups and small businesses, communicate through videos that are relevant, modern and effective.

Instead of simply providing one-off videos for clients, we work closely with businesses to develop an effective strategy around the use of video as part of their communications and marketing efforts.

We offer advice on the best way to utilise video across a company’s website, advise on the best techniques for getting engagement on social media, and have even built our own award-winning platform called Vimsy for creating anything from an online portal for training and event videos, to a complete video streaming service similar to Netflix or Amazon.

We’re passionate about innovation in the local region, both as innovators ourselves and as a company that works with many innovative businesses.

Over the past five years we’ve produced videos for countless local organisations across a variety of sectors who’ve pushed the limits of innovation and technology, such as a Southampton cleaning company who’ve built an industrial robotic vacuum cleaner, a Fareham company who’ve used training videos to remotely train police officers in war zones in the middle east, a Bournemouth company who turn waste into alcohol, and countless software companies on the brink of changing industries such as healthcare, accounting, and security forever.

We believe strongly that innovation in the UK isn’t limited to London, and we’re proud to support efforts that showcase how local companies are doing their bit to move the world forward.

Likewise, we reflect on the opportunities presented to us as a small company over the years and want to see improvements and changes to how small businesses with great ideas get funding and access to other resources. In an ideal world founders with big ambitions wouldn’t need to move to London, Amsterdam or other technology hotbeds such as Silicon Valley to get their startups going, or to take their established businesses to the next level.
