What’s the innovation?

OXTO Energy has developed the innovative energy storage system to enable a sustainable, low-carbon future. A flywheel is considered a mechanical battery that stores kinetic energy in the form of a rotating mass. Designed to work alongside renewable technologies such as wind and solar, the flywheel allows intermittent renewable generation to continue generating, even when the energy is not necessarily required. The excess energy gets stored in OXTO’s steel flywheels and then released when demand increases. This allows for further uptake of renewable generation and more homes to be supplied with clean, non-polluting energy.

OXTO’s aim is to source strategic investors that will believe in our purpose and will want to embark with us on our journey to radically transform the way we store energy in order to meet the worlds’ ever-increasing demand for more and cleaner energy.

Our clean technology has the power to change energy storage across all industries including manufacturing, transportation, real estate and many more by driving performance and cost efficiencies.

But we don’t not stop there. Our purpose is to also contribute to the fight against climate change by reducing the need for lithium batteries and therefore reducing the impact that lithium mining has on people and our global water resources.
