The Innovation Zone at #VFS22 is where the magic happens! But it isn’t complete without our Innovation Talks – we will have three, hour long sessions of talks through the day of the Festival of Innovation. These talks will feature a number of guest speakers who are experts in their field and there’s a multitude of knowledge for you to gain in attending these sessions.
The Innovation Zone is also the main place you’ll found the region’s top innovators, entrepreneurs and businesses showcasing their weird and wonderful ideas. Meet the innovators.

Innovation Talks 1 | The Life of an Innovator

This session brings you a hand-picked selection of some of the Souths best innovators and will be an exploration of the Life of an Innovator. They will be sharing their experiences, opportunities and advice and discussing various topics such as Women in Innovation, hearing from an iCURE Graduate with Royal Academy of Engineering Fellowship on being successful but looking for funding, how to run successful CIC Start-Up’s and how one speaker went from Student Entrepreneur to Innovator, plus more.

Innovation Talks 2 | Skills and Entrepreneurship

We have gathered another group of amazing speakers to share their knowledge and advice in Skills and Entrepreneurship. We’ll hear about various topics such as Building Med-tech Companies, Power of Collaboration in making SME’s competitive, Power of a Cluster when Supporting a Sector, Skills and Development through Help to Grow Scheme as well as Early Entrepreneurship for 16-18 Year olds.
This is the talk to attend if you’re looking to hear from experts and business leaders on how you can Skill Up to Scale Up!
Innovation Talks 3 | Funding, Finance and Opportunities

Need advice, help and tips on funding and finance for your business? This talk is the place to be! It will be giving delegates a unique insight into how to fund, scale and support their ideas to turn them into a business.
