A well-respected senior manager and teacher with expertise in change management ,creativity and process implementation, I also teach and coach leadership, business and management. I am particularly interested in how we improve experiences, systems and outcomes for students and indeed for staff in HE. With a substantial number of years experience in consultancy and in running my own businesses, my HE experience is informed by continuous and interesting work in management, in HE, IT and in the non- profit sector. As a manager, I work hard to create an open, diverse and listening culture that ensures that all members of a team both learn and can share their ideas; facilitation of that creativity into reality as a way to improve every business situation I’ve worked in is a core part – the core of my management style. I am a change agent as well as a collaborator and work tirelessly to achieve the best outcomes with neither fear nor favour.
I have worked in many different roles and bring those experiences to any new job, along with a dose of wisdom and a lot of experience. But I find that I learn as much from my students or team as I can teach and share, and know that we can only achieve as a team. This is my approach as a leader, teacher of leaders and as an employee myself.
