ISARS Solutions Ltd is developing an AI-powered, species-specific acoustic mosquito-control system designed to provide a non-chemical approach for malaria prevention. The technology combines real-time acoustic detection and classification with a reinforcement-learning controller that adapts its acoustic response to each detected mosquito through closed-loop feedback in 250ms. ISARS has received recognition through the University of Southampton Student Enterprise Fund and ESBF competitions and has been selected as an ESBF Champion of Champions finalist (1 of 10 across the UK). The company is now progressing live-mosquito validation and developing partnerships to support future biological validation and field deployment.
