Developing a low profile hydrofoil that retrofits onto a standard kiteboard – the Hydrofin –
that allows kitesurfers to ride in lighter winds whilst staying in shallower waters. This is also
more portable at 10% the size and 40% the cost of existing offerings. It is easier to learn as
the riding experience is closer to standard kiteboards, compared to other hydrofoil designs.

Investment will help accelerate the product to market. Whilst currently I am working on the assumption I will have no investment, below are areas where I would benefit:

• £25k allows for more advanced and tools to create a more ‘finished’ looking
  product.
•  £50k would allow me to leapfrog a couple of design iterations, allowing me to
  address more of the market sooner, by evaluating more board types and load
  conditions.
• £10k would be spent on Intellectual Property.
