This was one of the many words of praise that this sassy community station received on its 15th anniversary this September.
Since 2011 Voice FM has built itself up into a 70 strong ground of volunteers creating over 50 radio shows per week, entertaining a loyal Southampton audience.

In a recent survey of Southampton residents 10% said they knew someone who has been on Voice FM.
The radio station has become a great channel for communities and businesses to get their message across the city .In a city of flow, Voice FMt is a vital link in the communication network.
The station carries specialist programmes which include an environmentally focused breakfast show, healthy lifestyle, the LGBT+ community, sport, entertainment, business and culture, as well as specific music programmes – such as new South Coast music, EDM, Soca, house, country, jazz, gospel, African, electronic and soul.
There is a mix of longstanding presenters and shorter term volunteers building their skills and media experience. They provide tech support, social media, and web-site management as well as on-air content.
Some presenters and producers have moved on to fulltime careers in broadcasting and journalism.
Voice FM is a valuable asset to the city of Southampton, supporting its cultural life and local initiatives, celebrating its diversity, strengthening its cohesion and engagement, and helping build pride in the city and its vibrant culture.
