I’m an experienced entrapreneur, commercial strategist and leader with a passion for communicating science and technology innovation.
I trained as an ad-man, jumping into the world of advertising straight after gaining a degree in physics. I started out at Boase Massimi Pollitt (BMP), working with clients like Volkswagen, Heinz, and British Railways. In 1993, I did a brief stint at Simons Palmer Denton Clemmow & Johnson, before founding Revolution Promotions and Marketing Limited.
Revolution specialised in innovative youth marketing campaigns, and was one of the earliest adopters of the internet for marketing purposes. I went on to co-found Sky Rock Network to explore the new world of digital marketing, where we contributed to pioneering digital solutions for Oracle, BMW and Universal Music. After selling Sky Rock in 2003, I started consulting on my own, and met Blue Latitude Health co-founder Martin Brass.
Over a period of 17 years, Blue Latitude became a leading strategic consultancy and creative agency with a specialism in the life sciences. I had the pleasure of combining my passions for science, marketing, and digital innovation and playing a small part in bringing life-changing innovation to healthcare. We grew Blue Latitude to become a team of over 150 amazing, talented people spanning a wide range of disciplines that included researchers, strategists, customer experience experts and creative geniuses.
In 2018 Blue Latitude became a part of the Fishawack Group and I became the Head of Consulting at Fishawack, leading a global team of 120 strategists and consultants that included specialists in commercial strategy, market access, customer experience and training.
Having led Fishawack Health Consulting through the pandemic, I left and setup Lateral Edge – a business that is focussed on providing strategic advice and guidance for high potential companies, especially when commercialising scientific and engineering innovation. In this role I am providing 1:1 coaching and mentoring of senior leaders, as well as collaboratively working with leadership teams to define commercial and marketing strategy.
