The Solent’s marine and maritime sector plays a vital role in our local economy, contributing 20.5% of the region’s GVA, providing 40,000 jobs, and supporting over 3,000 businesses. With projected growth of at least 5% by 2025, it is crucial to address the sector’s opportunities and challenges (LSIP, 2024). This interactive IAB aims to establish a structured platform whereby industry and education can more formerly work together to address existing and future skills demands to ensure readiness of our future workforces.
